Artificial Intelligence
Authenticity is important to me as a photographer. My goal is to capture real moments, places, and experiences as they happen. The photographs in my portfolio and the images I deliver to clients are created through traditional photographic methods. I use standard digital editing techniques such as adjustments to color, exposure, sharpness, and contrast in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom but I do not use artificial intelligence to generate or fabricate scenes, subjects, or events that didn’t actually occur.
Artificial intelligence tools may occasionally assist with minor tasks in my workflow, but they are never used to replace authentic photography or misrepresent what was actually photographed. Lara Mahr Photography, LLC is built on trust. I am committed to creating images that are true to the moment.
Cultural Sensitivity
I photograph powwows throughout the Great Lakes region. Powwows are vibrant gatherings that celebrate Native culture, community, and tradition. When photographing these events, I approach the space with cultural awareness and respect. Dances, songs, and regalia carry deep spiritual and personal meaning. My powwow photography aims to honor the people who keep Native culture alive while maintaining respect for their stories, traditions, and boundaries. I represent dancers respectfully and my photography embodies the spirit of the powwow rather than exploiting it. Images from powwows on this website are NOT for sale.
Environmental Sustainability
